距離864公里。
兩座城市，兩個地域，兩種文化。
我們希望藉由這次的展覽機會試著在地圖上將台北、澳門兩座城市連成一線，以台北的當代一畫廊與澳門的牛房倉庫做為兩個前後時間的展覽基地，並將兩地的青年藝術家視為「二點」，轉化在幾何學中「點」是組成空間最基本的概念，「二點」則是形成空間的起源，此二點並包含著兩地各自創作的脈絡；透過「幾何」這一極為理性的領域對於時間與空間的描述，跨域在兩點間的位移；在兩種不同的位移向度與所延伸在周圍的結構標示出位移向量，對照著兩地藝術工作者在面對自我主體的狀態下，所引發的種種情緒，將這股不斷地累積在自身伏流中翻騰攪拌的某種能量，在交叉的想像中，測量互為主體的相對位置。而在這樣「互為主體」（展覽）的狀態下，「他者」並不僅僅只是我們認識的對象，「他者」同時以另一個主體存在著，穿上「他者」的衣裝，主體得以顯現。
我們在此"相遇"，在"相遇之外”。

Cross-Boundary – Macau-Meets-Taiwan: Artistic Exchange Exhibition
Between
Taipei and Macao
The
distance is 864km.
Two
cities, two regions and two cultures.
It is
our wish to connect the two cities, Taipei and Macao, along one line on the map
through this exhibition, with A-Gallery in Taipei and Ox Warehouse in Macao
as exhibiting bases at different times,
and the artists from the two regions as the ‘two points’! Here, we’ll reverse a
geometric concept: ‘point’ is no longer the most basic component of space but
the origin of space, that the two points encompass creative
contexts of the two spaces (regions). As such, through the highly rational
geometric concept of time and space, this exhibition aims to forge a
displacement between the two points across borders, attempting to mark the
displacement vector based on two different dimensions (spaces) and the extended
surrounding structures. In this way it is hoped that we can compare all kinds
of emotions triggered in the subjectivity of the artists in the two regions,
thereby giving measure, through a crossover of imaginations, of the relative states of
those stirring active energies generated by the creative forces latent in the artists
themselves and also in the two exhibitions of Macao and Taipei as two relative
subjects. Under the dynamics of this circumstance, the ‘otherness’ as object is
not merely an object we try to perceive, it is also a subjective presence;
hence, the subject is brought to light as an ‘object’ in disguise.
In such
a way we join/meet here/there, beyond this meeting point.
