2012畢業於國立臺北藝術大學美術學系

2025 畢業於國立臺南藝術大學藝術創作理論研究所博士班
創作涵蓋繪畫、雕塑、複合媒材與空間裝置。長期關注「價值如何被賦予」以及「符號如何在社會脈絡中生成與流通」等核心議題。
近年創作多從消費文化、地方信仰、交換系統、世俗美學與個人慾望等面向切入，特別聚焦於臺灣招財文化中的符號運作，結合田野踏查、文化採集與符號再製，捕捉日常環境中潛伏的欲望軌跡，藉以折射出複雜、流動且難以言喻的潛在台灣性。創作方法上多以「仿擬」與「偏離式再製」作為主要策略，透過模仿、挪用與轉化操作，重新檢視符號的生成邏輯與文化景觀的建構方式，進而在似曾相識與異質偏移的交界處，提出對藝術本質、形式慣性與觀看機制的批判性思考。
曾獲2024年「南瀛獎」類別首獎與「集保藝術賞－視域臺灣」優選； 2021年入選「中國信託當代繪畫獎」；2020年獲「第二屆集保結算所當代藝術賞」銅賞及「第8屆鴻梅新人獎」；2016年獲文化部遴選為 Art Taipei「Made In Taiwan 新人推薦特區」藝術家。曾參與「The SAC Residency Program」（泰國曼谷，2025）、池上穀倉藝術館駐村計劃（2025）、嘉義市立美術館「藝術返嘉進駐計劃」（2020）與「關渡美術館國際對等交換駐村計畫」（馬來西亞吉隆坡，2016）。作品也曾獲得澳洲白兔美術館、藝術銀行、臺灣集中保管結算所等機構典藏。

Huang
Shun-Ting (b. 1990, Taipei, Taiwan) received his MFA in Fine Arts (Painting)
from the Taipei National University of the Arts in 2015 and earned his PhD in
Art Creation and Theory from Tainan National University of the Arts in 2025.
His practice spans painting, sculpture, mixed media, and spatial installation,
with a sustained inquiry into how cultural values are produced, and how symbols
emerge, circulate, and mutate within social contexts.
In recent
years, his work has approached these questions through the lenses of consumer
culture, local belief systems, exchange mechanisms, secular aesthetics, and
personal desire, with particular attention to the symbolic operations embedded
in Taiwanese prosperity culture. Combining fieldwork, cultural sampling, and
symbolic recomposition, Huang traces the desire-laden visual residues hidden in
everyday environments, revealing the complex, fluid, and indescribable layers
of what he calls latent Taiwaneseness. His practice often employs strategies of
parody and mimetic deviation–through imitation, appropriation, and
transformation–to reexamine the mechanisms through which symbols are produced
and cultural landscapes are constructed. Operating between the familiar and the
estranged, his work raises critical questions about artistic ontology,
stylistic convention, and systems of visual perception.
Huang is the
recipient of the First Prize in the 2024 Nanying Award (2D Media Category) and
the Excellence Prize of the TDCC Art Award – Vision Taiwan (2024). He was
selected for the CTBC Painting Prize (2021), received the Third Prize in the
TDCC Contemporary Arts Award (2020), and was shortlisted for the 8th Grand View
Emerging Artists Award (2020). In 2016, he was selected for Art Taipei’s Made
in Taiwan program. His residency experiences include The SAC Residency Program
(Bangkok, 2025), the Chishang Art Center Residency Project (2025), the Chiayi
Art Museum’s Artist-in-Residence Program (2020), and the Kuandu Museum of Fine
Arts International Exchange Residency (Kuala Lumpur, 2016). His works are held
in the collections of the White Rabbit Gallery (Sydney, Australia), Art Bank
Taiwan, the Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation, among others.
