九月是一畫廊邁向創立二週年的重要里程碑。一畫廊始終秉持著相同的理念，認為台灣有許多深具潛力的優質藝術家，然而礙於市場，能夠曝光的機會有限。期許能夠讓許多有實力的台灣藝術家與世界接軌，實現創作無國界的理念。
In September, A Gallery will be greeting for its second anniversary; in this month, ten new, young artists who had held their exhibitions in our gallery last year will be invited to have an exhibition again. These distinguishing and talented artists also have culminated abundant exhibition experiences abroad.

「菁典當代」此次的特展我們邀請過去一年曾在一畫廊展出頗受好評的台灣十位新興藝術家，他們堅持自我創作原則，擁有個人藝術風格，且國內外展覽經驗豐富。像李政勳，近年不但在國內展出豐富，且於今年獲邀至日本金澤21世紀美術館、台灣關渡美術館等展出。他的作品除了讓觀者更能注意到那些由線構成的面(符碼)之外，更嘗試著在極大處，讓它破碎、不規則等，斑爛的幾何抽象。

杜啟明去年榮獲金車藝術首獎，今年更突破激烈競爭，獲2011臺灣製造－新人推薦的肯定。他在作品中，以曖昧不明的符號，直指著生命經驗，強加自身經驗的符號，以一種薄質的手法層層的堆疊，這種薄質的(透明的)色彩質地，可以清楚繪畫的圖層，作品為感性的抽象繪畫。

目前仍在法國深造的許常郁，以繪畫展現她記憶的旅程與生命的片段。在繪畫時任由顏料由直覺和淺意識控制，顏料以自動性方式自我滴流、碰撞、交融，畫面的一切就像回憶的畫面，影像漂浮重組。意識壓縮在不同的時間與空間之間。
Hsu Chang-Yu, who is now a graduate student in France, displays her journey of memories and life fragments which are controlled, shifted and rearranged by her own intuition and sub-consciousness through colors and pigments.

陳宏群本次展出的作品，欲展現實體的消失，指涉物的不存在，亦即指涉物不是指涉物。透過對於指涉物的不同狀態的描繪，來形構存在海馬迴中對於指涉物的記憶形像(視覺經驗)。然而，所感知到的指涉物，是存取在海馬迴中對於指涉物形像的記憶，遺留在畫布上的並非是指涉物本身，而是讓存留在畫布上的痕跡與堆疊顯現。

定居於紐約的黃海欣，在台灣與紐約都有諸多的展出經驗。她的作品常用詼諧的幽默感，聚焦在現代社會中的大眾媒體所散播的公共性圖像，尤其是從官方單位如政府、學校、醫院、監獄等，所釋出的那些屬於政治正確的影像，以及當代大眾日常生活中的理所當然，探索暗藏其中那淡淡的荒唐、不安、幽默。

畢業於英國中央聖馬丁藝術學院的蔡依庭認為，畫畫對於她自已而言，很像一部屬於自己的紀錄片，沒有什麼絕對唯一的真實，只是在不同年齡階段，對於自己的家庭關係裡所感覺到的現實，從原生家庭的紀錄，直至踏入婚姻生活後意識到「自己的家庭」等，她的繪畫就紀錄著她的家庭、生活中的那些交集相愛或相恨的人們。
As a graduate from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, Tsai Yi-Ting regards painting as an autobiographic documentary in which all the bittersweetness of her life, family, and everyone she knows are depicted and taken down.

目前就讀於西班牙國立巴賽隆納大學美術系博士班的韓毓琦，曾於西班牙巴塞隆納舉辦過多次展覽，而本次展覽將以當代水墨藝術創作為主。繪畫回到自然，回到人的視覺和內心精神，把感性與潮間生態的精神融合到水墨中，呈現有機生命力與原創東方藝術樸素之質。

Similar to the passion in Han’s works, LO CHIAO-LING consider there is a child hidden within every body; for the child could be real you or the real you being long forgotten.
